Any of these things will greatly enhance your Grenadiers or Conscripts, or whichever infantry you field. Soviet Guards Rifles also frequently drop DP42 light machine guns and Anti-tank Rifles. Some of these are expensive and deadly upgrades like the German Panzershrek and the light MG42, which will instantly give your squads an edge. Weapons teams and other infantry squads can drop equipment upon death. Gifts of the Field: Turning your enemy's weapons against them The more resources you get (especially Fuel), the easier it will be for you to get tanks and build a stronger force to win the match. The simplest reason for being offensive-minded is that the more ground you hold, the more resources you get. Knowing what the enemy has and where they are going is a huge advantage because it allows you to tailor your own strategy to beating them. A good offense is also good reconnaissance. You might also interrupt enemy offensives and be able to better prepare and turn your defense in the direction of their attack. I will explain indirect fire further in the "keeping the guns firing" section.Īdditionally, using your infantry squads and tanks to probe the enemy's defenses, even if you can't overcome them, will give your mortars and artillery more targets. As soon as I take more ground, I push up the machine guns and anti-tank guns to hold it against enemy counterattacks.
